StoreReady

Whilst your goods are in storage, they are stored at your own risk. We strongly recommend you arrange protection for your goods in storage for added peace of mind.

We can provide protection for your stored goods on a replacement basis (for certain items), via StoreReady.

StoreReady is an optional extension to our Self Storage Licence Agreement that allows you to purchase additional protection for your goods, subject to the StoreReady Terms. It is not Insurance. StoreReady extends the circumstances in which we may accept liability for loss or damage to your goods whilst in storage.

If you opt in to StoreReady and your goods are damaged, we will investigate the cause of loss or damage and where we are liable under the StoreReady Terms, we may replace, repair and/or provide compensation to you (subject to certain limitations and exclusions) up to the Maximum Replacement Value you declared. 7

Any calculation and/or compensation shall be on a replacement as new basis provided:

(i) any replacement shall not be substantially better than the original;

(ii) the Goods in question were less than ten (10) years old at the time of loss and/or damage; and

(iii) the Goods in question are not household linen or wearing apparel.

For all other goods We will consider the age, condition, quality, degree of use and market value and so the calculation and/or compensation will not be on a replacement as new basis.

Where We are liable under StoreReady and the goods lost and/or damaged are documents, We can agree to pay compensation on the basis of the reasonable costs of reprinting and/or reasonable costs of reissue and/or reconstitution including, where applicable, fresh research or exploration to obtain essential information where the value provided by You reflects these costs.

To benefit from StoreReady, you must declare the total replacement value of all goods you are storing (the Maximum Replacement Value). This value should reflect the replacement value of all goods stored and must be adequate throughout your storage period.

If you do not opt for StoreReady, our liability is limited under our Self Storage Licence Agreement. This means you store your goods at your own risk and if your goods are lost or damaged, you may have to bear that loss. We recommend you arrange your own protection or insurance if StoreReady is not suitable for your needs.
