Self Storage Redbank Plains
Redbank Plains is one of Ipswich’s fastest-growing suburbs: new estates, young families, smaller blocks and a lot of people who work with their hands. The houses are new, but the garages fill up fast.
Our facility is in Redbank at 108–132 Kruger Parade, not in Redbank Plains. It is about 3km away, roughly a five minute drive from most of the suburb.

Why Redbank Plains runs out of room
Redbank Plains is not short of new houses. It is short of space around them, and three kinds of household feel it most.
The first is families waiting on a build. A lot of Redbank Plains has been sold as house-and-land packages, and building timelines in South East Queensland have been stretched for years. The rental lease ends, the handover date moves again, and a household’s furniture needs somewhere to wait while the family stays with relatives or rents short term. A unit turns an open-ended delay into a monthly cost you can see, rather than a lounge suite in someone else’s garage.
The second is families on smaller blocks with bigger toys. Newer estates mean narrower lots, single or tight double garages and little side access. That works until the boat, the camper trailer, the jet ski or the caravan arrives. Many estates also have rules or covenants about what can sit on a driveway or the street, and a caravan parked across the footpath is a quick way to meet the neighbours. Vehicle storage up the road solves it without giving up the van.
The third is tradies and small operators. Ipswich has a large trade workforce, and plenty of them run their business from home: tools, fittings, materials bought on special, a work trailer and stock for the next job. The garage becomes a workshop and the family car lives on the street. A unit near the Ipswich Motorway holds the gear without turning the house into a depot.
Getting to Redbank from Redbank Plains
From most of Redbank Plains, head north-east on Redbank Plains Road and turn into Kruger Parade. From the Town Square that is about five minutes. From the newer estates on the southern and western edges, allow up to 10.
At that distance a unit works like a second garage. Tradies can load up on the way to a job, and families can drop off camping gear on the way home from the shops. The facility is also handy to the Ipswich Motorway if you are heading towards Brisbane or west to Ipswich.
Be aware that this facility does not have 24/7 access. The gate is open from 5am to 9pm, which suits early starts but means planning ahead if you finish late.
